A vacation to Zanzibar offers the intrepid traveller the best that Africa’s coastal destinations has to offer. The islands of Zanzibar(also known as Unguja) and Pemba and surrounding peninsula together form Zanzibar are certainly one of the most interesting and restful locations in the world. It is located in the Indian Ocean, about 25 miles from the Tanzanian coast, and just 6 south of the equator.

The capital of the islands is Zanzibar City. The main island is 60 miles long and 20 miles wide. The coastal areas with white beaches, mangroves, lagoons and coral reefs compliment the richly fertile areas inland where the spice farms are situated. Walking tour in Stonetown

Stone Town tour is conducted with an expert licensed local tour guide in the most requested languages to ensure you hear everything and to enjoy the beauty of Stone Town, the Icon city of East Africa. Your guide will take you to discover the most important sites in the center of Stone Town like Freddie Mercury House, House Of Wonder, Darajani Market, Former Slave Market. A guide will walk with you around Darajani Market and the narrow streets of Stone Town, where you will be able to randomly shop from souvenirs shops and take instagrammable photos, exploring the culture of Swahili people.

Prison Island

The Prison Island, also known as Changuu Island which is located in the western part of Zanzibar Island, just off Stone Town. It takes around 25 minutes by local boat riding from the Stone Town beach. The island’s main attraction is the popular Giant Tortoises, who can live up to 200 years. In this tour, you will get a chance to explore and learn the history of these beautiful creatures and also about Prison Island itself.
